What you've been waiting for: ME Bank launches the EveryDay Transaction Account
- Limited PINK Debit MasterCard® will allow customers to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation every time they make a credit or EFTPOS purchase
- Until 28 June, EveryDay Transaction Account customers will have the chance to win a trip to New Zealand to see the Wallabies in the 2011 Rugby World Cup

The EveryDay Transaction Account joins ME Bank's existing portfolio of banking products, allowing customers to experience the convenience of having all their main accounts with ME Bank.
"The EveryDay Transaction Account is about giving customers what they want – easy, no-fuss everyday banking, which gives them more time to do the things they really enjoy," said Ian Hendey, Executive Manager, Brand, Products and Distribution.
Customers can access their money via a range of options and use their own money in-store, online, over the phone and overseas. They also have access to a wide range of security features and entertainment offerings through the MasterCard® network.
The EveryDay Transaction Account with Debit MasterCard® will include:
- Your choice of lime or metallic Debit MasterCard® or the limited PINK Debit MasterCard® in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation;
- Tap & Go with PayPass™ for purchases under $100;
- 15 free ATM transactions per month at 3000+ locations through the
ME Bank and Westpac network; - Free EFTPOS transactions;
- Unlimited BPAY® and PayAnyone transactions;
- Unlimited direct debits and direct credits; and
- A range of MasterCard® security and entertainment features.
"For members of industry super funds and unions, the EveryDay Transaction account will offer preferential pricing with the account fee being waived when they deposit a minimum of $1,500 per calendar month, such as their salary," said Mr Hendey.
The EveryDay Transaction Account comes with an eye-catching lime or metallic Debit MasterCard®. However, ME Bank and the National Breast Cancer Foundation have also partnered to produce the limited PINK Debit MasterCard®. In an Australian first, customers will help fund research into breast cancer prevention and cure every time they make a purchase with their PINK Debit MasterCard®.
"This is the first time Australians have been given the opportunity to help raise funds for research – through the course of their every day banking – into a disease which sees more than 10,000 people diagnosed every year. Over the next three years we expect over $300,000 in donations via the PINK Debit MasterCard®," said Mr Hendey.
